Introduction to Oil Painting - July 6, 7, & 8th 2026 - 2 pm to 4:30 pm at Messy Bee Studio (23 W. Potomac St, Brunswick, MD 21716) - Instructor Kim Yourick - $90.00 total
This class will assist the student in preparing a complete set of supplies for use in their studio, in plein air, or in future classes. They will be taught how to use oil paint, brushes, palette knife, basic mixing, different painting surfaces, oil-specific painting techniques, and how to store materials. In addition to learning how to use the materials, the student will develop their own painting in order to practice techniques.

Beginning to Intermediate Oil Painting - July 27, August 3rd, 17th, 24th and 31st, 2026 (5 sessions)
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm at Messy Bee Studio (23 W. Potomac St, Brunswick, MD 21716) - Instructor Kim Yourick - $175 total
This class is a continuation of the Intro to Oil Painting class which focused on materials. However, if you have oil paints and materials already, and have had some experience using them, this class would be a great continuation to your studies. In addition, the class can be taught to a more intermediate level student by providing individual instruction. It will involve painting from life but also painting from a photograph of your choice.
